The objectGUID is the primary key of Active Directory. Every other value in Active Directory can change except the objectGUID. Therefore if you want an exact and appropriate pointer back to a user or an object in Active Directory than you need to use the objectGUID.
This blog shows how to access the objectGUID from Active Directory.
This code is a we bit over kill but it works. As always most of my code is just found on the Internet. I place it here as a reference for me, and as a chance someone might find it to help them. Therefore I can't take credit for anything in here.
