Recently I needed to get just the file path out of a string that had both the filename and path in it... example. c:\whatever\programz.exe.
Well I couldn't have written some string function to get it out. Instead however, I searched the Internet and came across an exmaple that did exactly what I wanted. It was written for VB so I went ahead and VB.NET 'ed it.
You pass fncExtractInfo a path with file name, it returns a structure that you can obtain several variables out of.
Here is how it works;

Have played with this gode however I have come up with a much easier way to get the file ext / name. you can extract the paths and other info as well by modding the syntax.
