So this blog is a bit delayed. Honestly, I am sorta ticked at Picasa and how it won't show my pictures up in the blog correctly. But anyway, let's get down to business.
Annie and her running partners ran a Marathon at the beginning of October in Des Moines Iowa. Annie made it through just fine without problems. She ran her marathon in four hours and thirty one minutes. Anyway, it was a fun weekend and I think that everyone had a great time.

First stop was to pick up the race bags. Iowa was kind enough to have the Indiana State flag haning so I took a picture. Pictured from left to right: Sara, Annie, Beth, Gijs (Maybe that is how you spell it, it is pronounced Hice. He is from the Netherlands and married to Beth), Chris, who is marrid to Sara. Not Pictured: Me, married to Annie. I am laying on the floor of the Iowa Convention Center taking the picture.

Race Day. I couldn't run because of my gimp leg. It was a bit chilly so everyone is bundled up. A light rain was falling as well.

I was the support guy for the weekend. You know, carried stuff, said motiviational things, put ice on the Gatorade. Here I have everyones clothes wrapped around my neck.

Everyone is waiting for the gun to get going. I am pretty sure they are all just hoping they won't die. You can see a part of Sara's face in the picture.

Here they come at the finish. Looking strong and beating some people behind them.

There they go. Almost there.

At the end they tried to tur all the runners into robots that eat old peoples arthritis medicine. It didn't work. I think..... Notice Sara is checking out her medal to see if it is real gold. She bites it right after the picture is taken.

All the happy runners after the race. Still alive and kicking.
It was a good time and we hope that we get to do it again real soon. I hope that I will get to run next time. We will see.
