Well folks it is that time of the year again. Fall. And with Fall comes Oktoberfest. Now, most people hear Oktoberfest and they think of one thing. Beer! I however, then of something else. POLKA!
Yes, Polka Dancing. I love it! Ich liebe es! Indeed I enjoy dancing the Polka. Now, I am not the best Polka dancer in the world but I do have fun doing it.
This Friday night. September 29th you will find me, the wife and anyone else who dares to come at the Rathskeller in Indianapolis. In their Biergarten the band Polka Boy will be playing and it is going to be a blast. We have already been twice this summer and each time it was super duper fun. With it being Oktoberfest I imagine it will be even more fun.
If you live in the Indianapolis area you ought to come. I will be the one dancing the whole time.
I thought now would be a good time to share some pictures of my garden. I gave some stuff a whirl this summer. Things were going well until the racoon that shacked up under my yard barn decided that the corn had to go. He got the corn, but I got him.... hehehehehe.
Below are some of the great pictures of the garden this year.
This is a picture of the main garden area. No veggies yet, but things are well on their way.
I built this little wall in the back yard.
Here is a picture before the corn got taken out by the racoon. You can see the pumpkins in the foreground growing out and there is a grapevine in the background.
There is the watermelon starting to grow.
I picked him too early but he seemed like he had stayed this size forever.
Last year I took some gords and pumpkins and threw them out behind the house. We ended up getting a number of vines to grow out from them. As you can see that this vine went crazy No baskeball right now until it is done growing!
One of these vines has produced a number of these little white pumpkins. How cute!
Well I will leave you with that. Keep your eye out for some Oktoberfest pictures after this weekend. Should be fun. I am making sing-along-sheets to hand out.
