On Saturday Annie and I had two events to attend. The first was a wedding shower for me cousin. Actually I didn't go to this one, just Annie. Apparently about halfway through the shower a bunch of people started saying that they had headaches. It seemed that everyone wasn't feeling well, Annie included.
After the shower Annie felt a bit sick to her stomach. She sort of dry heaved at the place of the shower. The shower was held in an old building that was a part of the "Underground Railroad".
Annie then got in the car with another cousin of mine to head over to my Grandmother's house for a surpise 75th birthday party for her. Apparently Annie did vomit several times at this point. Annie informed me today that "a gift bag doesn't really hold vomit well".
I was already at my Grandmother's house. All of my aunts and female cousins started showing up and they said that they all had huge headaches and that Annie was vomitting.
I thought maybe she had the flu or something. We brought her into my grandmother's house and put her to bed. She slept for 3 or 4 hours. I woke her up to head home, since we were in Richmond Indiana. She sat up and vomitted. It took awhile but we finally got her in the car and we headed back.
We car pooled on the way over to Richmond with Erick and Sara so we went to their house. Annie got out of the car and vomitted again. At this point we believed that everyone had gotten some form of Carbon Monoxide poisining but Annie was by far the worst.
I got on the internet and did some looking around. I decided that I better take her to the hospital. I took her to the ER about 11:00 P.M. They got her admitted quickly and got her on pure oxygen which is apparently what they do for carbon monoxide poising. They then drew her blood so they could see how bad it was. Annie's parents happened to be in town as well so they came over with Annie's sister.
It turned out that Annie had a level 7 amount of carbon monoxide in her system which is comparable to a person who smokes 3 packs a day. She had to be on oxygen for about an hour and half so they could get it out of her system.
They also gave Annie medicine for vommitting. This caused a reacation in Annie's system and made her go crazy. She sat up in bed and ripped off the oxygen mask and was like, "I want out of here. I just want to feel better. I don't know what I want.. Get me out of here!". The nurse came in and gave her benadryl which apparently counteracts this side affect of the nuasea medicine. That calmed Annie down, but it was weird to watch her act like this since it is totally not like her.
In the end she felt much better and slept most of the day. She is still a bit out of it and we aren't sure if she is going to go to work tomorow or not.
But it was a bit frighting, a bit weird, a bit funny and a great story in the end.

That's crazy. I hope Annabell has full recovery. That's scary as poop. So she freaked out. That brings up another issue that maybe one of the history buffs that frequent this site can help with. My dad was talking about Hitler's use of Crystal Meth. among his troops to help them fight with a little less fear than the average GI Joe. ANy truth to that?
