I tried to sign Sebastian, my infant son, up for Facebook so I can tag him in pictures. Here is the message I got. It seems like Facebook is a bit of a hypocrite.

After months of staying out of the media spotlight, Joe Biden has now reappeared with a new economic plan that he devised after scouring reports from historical revolutionary thinkers. His surprising inspiration has come from an unlikely source: Marshall Applewhite, the co-founder of the controversial cult, Heaven’s Gate. In secret phone calls with governors and mayors, he has disclosed the newest plan of action: recycling. The Earth is on the cusp of being “recycled” and so our economy will have to respond to this coming change. Details of this philosophy and plan are to be disclosed in “private meetings” later this week.

My wife and I are planning an upcoming trip and we had some concerns about flying with our son who will be just over three months old on the flight. I posted a query on the topic on Twitter and Facebook and almost immediately my cousin, who works for a major airline as a flight attendant chimed in with a ton of great information. I am including the tips she gave me below.
From the Pro First, disregard all this info if the baby is sleeping, just let him sleep. I hoped this helped and don’t freak you out!
Why Babies Cry Why babies usually cry when flying, aside from the normal tired, hungry, dirty diaper, is their ears start...

When we were in Germany/Austria/Switzerland I was struck by how much signage there was EVERYWHERE! As a foreigner I found many of the signs humorous. Below are some of my favorites.
This first set of signs we saw at bus stops in Hildesheim, Germany. They are advertising for a magazine. The idea is that the magazine keeps you informed and up-to-date, which can help you avoid all sorts of problems.

“Meteor is Coming”

Those who know Annie and I well, know that we have been to Europe a number of times since being married. I would say we have a bit of Euro Travel Junkies in us. Last summer we took a trip that took us all over Germany and to many places that will stay with me for our whole lives. One of the places we visited was Hamburg Germany where we stayed for a number of days with our friend Anne who Annie met in high school while studying in Germany her junior year.
Hamburg has a dubious history of being one of the first cities to be nearly leveled during World War II by Allied bombers. The city was the target of such destruction because of the importance in shipping. Anne took us all over Hamburg, which included a half day trip canoeing through one of Hamburg’s many waterways.
While reading this months, World War II magazine they had an article that discussed the camouflage that both the Axis and Allies used to help mask important roadways and factories. Imagine my surprise when I saw a picture of...

My mom sent this video over. I love these flash mob events and when you throw in The Sound of Music, you know I will love it. This put a smile on my face on a cold, dreary day.

Sebastian has been doing great. Mommy and I are so happy he has come to stay with our family. I don’t really think he had much choice in the matter, but we still feel super blessed to have this great little man!
Sebastian had his first checkup today and he is doing great. He has already gained nearly 10 ounces since he left the hospital. I give a lot of credit to both Annie and Sebastian on the great work.
We are all sleeping a bit. Annie lets me get a big chunk in at night and then she sleeps off and on throughout the day. Sebastian might be starting a schedule a bit, but I think it is way too early to tell.
Basically, life is grand!
