Stuff about Stuart's life. You know programming, life, liberity the pursuit of happiness. Whatever! GOSH!

Those Clones know how to P-A-R-T-Y

My friend Philip sent this over.   It is about the High School I went to.   The guy in the video lived down the street from me for a year, so I know him just a bit.  He was crazy back then too.   He actually did a series of Nissan commercials where he lived in his car.  Anyway, Enjoy!

Our baby boy is coming soon.  Middle of March and as soon as the New Year hit Annie and I both have started to feel the pressure.  The realization that this thing is actually going to happen is sinking in (it helps to realize that Annie looks like she ate a bowling ball).

In preparation we have been registering at Target and Babies R Us as well as crib shopping and I have been painting the nursery.

Also I have been cleaning out closets to make way for the new baby stuff and one of the items to go was all of our big luggage.

The type of luggage we took to Europe three times over the last four years.   You know the luggage for the extended trips.   Well, for the time being that is being put up in the attic and replaced by car seats, toys and all sorts of random baby objects.

I found it quite symbolic that I replaced a suitcase, representing freedom, with a chair for a baby.

I am looking forward to the new dude, but I am nervous as all get out!

Annie and I had a great holiday.  We got to see all of the immediate family for a few days each and hang out.   We saw a few movies, hung out with friends and in general had a grand old time.

Erick, Sara and Ellie ended up staying at our house for over a week because they had a pipe burst and they had to special order a part to fix it.  We aren't use to having at 15 month baby in our house but it worked out alright.

We bought a few things.   Annie let me get a PS3, which I am really liking but haven't had much time to play with yet.   And Annie finally got a water softner which she has been talking about for years.   I think I got the better deal out of the two.

Baby stuff is really getting rolling now.   We registered at Babies R Us and Target over the weekend and have been crib shopping pretty heavily.  I have started on the babies room and will probably start painting it tonight.

This year is going to be really busy, but I think it will be pretty exciting too and I am looking forward...

It is just now Christmas and in a good Christmas tradition I got a bag of crap from Woot.com.

Merry Christmas, let us remember the real reason we celebrate, and it isn't a Bag of Crap or Woot.com.

Happy Christmas to All and To All A Good Night

So I joined Twitter.  If you know what it is and care, here are the details....

Annie told me last night that I hadn't updated the blog lately.   I looked and I had in the last 10 days.  But, I guess that isn't enough for her.

Things are going well.   Annie is on a two hour delay due to snow last night while we slept, so she is sleeping.   I am up and working on a project that has tanken way too long.  But come hell or high water I am going to finish it today.

Annie has been a grading machine for about a month now.  She grade ALL OF THE TIME.  Teachers are way underpaid for the hours and crap they have to go through.   Will Obama fix that?  I HOPE he will. But, I won't be holding my breath.

Annie is getting quite preggars these days.  She entered her third trimester which is both exciting and scary.  The boy has been kicking and punching all over the place in there.

I wonder if Chuck Norris trains babies in the womb?

Excited to eat dinner with my step brother Grant  and his significant other Andrea (they form one and become Grandrea) this evening.   Grant...

I was beginning to suspect that it might be winter.  I mean, it has been really cold.   I can see my breath.   I wear big socks and slippers all day and wrap up in blankets.

However, what officially makes it Winter in my book is when I have to get out the old Snow Shovel and clear off the driveway and sidewalk.  Well, today was that day.   We got somwhere between 1.5 and 2.5 inches, I suspect.

Very fluffy, great for skiing type snow, so it was an easy shovel.  I love having this snow before Christmas, makes all of the songs seem some what real.

In other news tomorrow is December 7, which is Pearl Harbor day.  This year it falls on a Sunday which is the day it actually happened on.  I know as I get up tomorrow my thoughts will wonder back to 1941 and what it must have been like then.

I saw this video on another blog and I really liked it.

It reminds me of something I heard my freshman year of college in a Bible class.  The professor was talking about the upcoming final and said something along the lines of, "Don't wish for the next two weeks to be over because you will never get those two weeks back".

That has always stuck with me and since that day I have seldom ever wished to "get something over with".  I try to at least give what ever I am doing a chance and to my surprise I generally end up really enjoying it.

I believe is it super important to have goals, but enjoy the experience along the way as well.   I am reminded of a tagline in a series of videos I watched on YouTube.com called ScootStars.  The intro said, "It's the journey, not the destination".
